The Pesto Portofino is produced in the North-western region of Italy called Liguria, where the original recipe originated. This Pesto is made with D.O.P. (Protected Denomination of Origin) ingredients, which make this Pesto with a great flavour and colour. We suggest serving it with pasta, fettuccine or linguine. In order to follow the traditional Genovese recipe, meanwhile cook your pasta in the normal way, boil three or four boiled potatoes and some green beans, then mix this amazing Pesto to the boiled potatoes and green beans. When your pasta is cooked, gently mix the Pesto with the pasta, ensuring there is an even coating of the Pesto. Add some parmesan on the top.
Tip: To really taste the high quality of this Pesto we suggest having it also on warm ciabatta bread as appetizer. You will be able to taste the flavour of all the ingredients coming straight from Italy. Enjoy!
