13th - 15th November 2009 Masterchef live BBC Good Food Show
As in previous years, Tontini Foods took part in the BBC Good Food Show. This year we had a bigger stand and we were able to display a lot more products. The BBC Good Food Show is always a great experience for growing companies, since you can test all your new prodcucts with your customers.
Our best sellers were our pates, above all the porcini mushroom pate, the artichoke and truffle extract, and the Tartufata. In addition many of our customers commented that we had the best pesto they had tried all day! As a matter of fact both our Portofino Pesto and Organic Pesto sold out in one day!
For the first time at this show we also brought our selection of sweets and fine Italian biscuits, along with our Christmas Panettone. All of which proved to be a great success.
Tontini Foods will take part to the Masterchef live 2010 next year.
15th – 18th March 2009 IFE ’09 Excel, London
Tontini Foods exhibited at the 2009 International Food and Drink Event at London’s Excel from 15th to 18th March. This show is one of the most important trade show of UK, and we were really glad to take part in it. Tontini Foods brought a selection of its best products like game pasta sauces, chutneys, Limoncello, Amaretti and Baci biscuits, pasta and extra virgin oil. This show gave us the chance to know a lot of people in the trade market and to make a lot of contacts. But the most important thing was that we were able to have a feedback about what traders like and dislike about our products. That was certainly a successfull experience which gave us the chance to know the trade market more and to grow as a food company.

Tontini Foods first UK event!
Tontini Foods gained a lot of experience from this show, we were able to show our customers our product range and select products to bring to the UK. The BBC Good Food show is one of the most exciting events of the winter, it was a great experience taking part in it.
Tontini Foods went to the BBC Good Show with little experience of the UK market, and tried to build a stand, recreating a small part of Italy. Exhibiting and sampling all its products, straight from Italy, the public were captured by that “little bit of Italy”.
“Many people, after trying our products, said 'I remembered I had this when I went to that small village on holiday in Italy' ”, Marisa Tontini, Director of Tontini Foods, “this is what we wanted people to say to us. We were over the moon that people who tasted our products could recognise the authenticity and high quality of them”.
This experience was a great one for us, and it helped us to work out which of our range of products the UK is looking for. We decided to book another stand for the following year - 2009.
